Leo at a train crash - Dordrecht - Holland - 28 November 1999
Sunday
28 November 1999 a Dutch train crashed
with a Belgian train in Dordrecht.
Almost 300 people were in the trains and only 4 people had little
injuries.
I went
there for Radio Rijnmond and kept them updated live from
there.
I was there from 13.00 till 08.30 in the morning.
It took
a very long time to get the train on the rails.
At Tuesday 30 November 1999 the first trains could pass
there.
In June
2001 a special investigation
of the Council of Transport Safety stated
that the Dutch train driver missed a red light
and that this happens almost every day in Holland...
