Leo at Anti Graffiti Project - Dordrecht - Holland - 2 May 2002

On Thursday afternoon 2 May 2002 the City of Dordrecht
started an anti
graffiti project in the historical
centre.
Only in the historical centre of Dordrecht
a total of 3,000 square meter (4,650 square inch) of graffiti
on 740 buildings is registered.
Owners
of buildings now can conclude a contract
for removing the graffity
with the City for only 50 (euro) yearly.
When
they call, fax or mail to a special service desk
the graffity is cleaned in 24 hours
and a police report is made up.
I
interviewed the cleaner (above picture),
bicycle repairman Jan de Roo - the owner of a first shop that was
cleaned
and alderman Bas van der Zwaan (in the middle on the above
photo)
and made a reportage for the afternoon news program
about this regional news on Radio Rijnmond.
