Codex Kodanski 26 September 2004

Sunday afternoon 26 September 2004
historical museum
Het Schielandshuis in Rotterdam
started the event
Codex Kodanski.

Codex Kodanski is a multimedia experience
through the centre of Rotterdam.

After I was received with some glasses of Absinth
I got a black vest over my raincoat
and headphones in my ears.

In my hand you see a PDA
connected by
Bluetooth to a GPS receiver (on my shoulder)
and connected by
GPRS to the Kodanski-server.

Codex Kodanski is a kind of city tour through Rotterdam.
Because of the GPS the PDA knows where you are
and by GPRS it gives the information and lots of other fun stuff
about the streets and buildings where you are walking.

It's big fun!

Unfortunately you only could experience
Codex Kodanski until 21 November 2004.

The photo was made on the corner
of Blaak (left) and Schiedamsedijk (right)
with the
Maritiem Museum left on the background.

I made a report about it
for the morning news program of 27 September.
