Leo at Statenplein - Dordrecht - Holland - 29 March 2000
After
more then 30 years of talking about it, the big moment was there.
On Wednesday afternoon 29 March 2000 the City of Dordrecht celebrated
the start of the building of a new mall on the Statenplein
in the historical centre of Dordrecht.
The new
buildings will cost the City of Dordrecht 25 million guilders and
they
must be the new landmarks of the shopping centre of Dordrecht.
Therefore Dordrecht had a little party. Mayor Jan Noorland
(with the white helmet) fired an ancient canon.
In the
middle you can see me recording it for Radio Rijnmond
